Bachelor in Painting and graduated in Design from the Escola de Música e Belas Artes do Paraná EMBAP/PR, in 1975. Specialist in General Theory of Signs (1980-1981) from the Federal University of Paraná - UFPR, Master’s degree (2005-2007) and PhD (2008-2012) in History from the Universidade Federal do Paraná - UFPR. He is a retired professor from the Design Department of the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), where he taught from 1976 to 2018. As a consequence of drawing, he has experimented with other correlated areas, such as painting, photography, graphic design and illustration. Fields of interest: history of graphic design, graphic production and visual identity. He is one of the 53 founders of APAP/PR – Associação Profissional dos Artistas Plásticos do Paraná and his 1º President. Throughout these 43 years, José Humberto Boguszewski hosted and participated in several exhibitions, shows and Art Halls in Paraná and other Brazilian states.
